The Story Behind Trovelle
Trovelle was founded in Bangkok in 2019 by a small group of professionals who had each, in different ways, watched their own families navigate the confusion that follows a significant life event without having done any prior organising. The name comes from the French word for "found" — a nod to the discovery that happens when a family finally sits down together and begins sorting through what matters.
What started as a series of informal workshops for the Bangkok expatriate community gradually grew into something more structured. Families began asking for follow-up help with cataloguing, and a small but steady peer group formed around the monthly sessions. By mid-2022 the Discovery Membership had become its own offering, reflecting the reality that this kind of reflection is rarely a one-afternoon task.
Today, Trovelle serves families and individuals across Bangkok and the surrounding area. Our facilitation is in English, and we have particular experience working with families who have connections to multiple countries — a common situation in Thailand's international community.
OUR MISSION
Why We Do This Work
We believe that organising is an act of care. When a family knows where important papers are kept, which belongings carry particular meaning, and how each member feels about what they have accumulated over a lifetime, difficult moments become a little less difficult. That clarity is what Trovelle helps create.
We are not lawyers, notaries, or financial advisers. We never provide individual professional advice, draft legal documents, or make recommendations about personal arrangements. Everything we do sits firmly within the category of general education, practical organising, and facilitated conversation. Where participants need specific professional support, we signpost them clearly and respectfully.

Who Facilitates Your Sessions
Our small team brings together backgrounds in community facilitation, professional organising, and family communication. None of us are legal or financial practitioners — and we are always upfront about that.
Sarah Calloway
Lead Facilitator & Co-founder
Sarah brings twelve years of community facilitation experience and a background in narrative coaching. She leads the Rediscovery Workshops and trains our facilitator team.
Nattaya Phirom
Organising Lead & Co-founder
Nattaya has worked as a professional organiser in Bangkok since 2014. She designed our Treasured Items Inventory methodology and oversees all in-home sessions.
James Morrow
Community & Membership Manager
James manages the Discovery Membership community, curates the organising guide library, and coordinates our network of professional referrals across Bangkok and internationally.
HOW WE WORK
Our Standards & Practices
Clear Scope of Service
We are an educational and organising service, not a professional advisory firm. Every participant receives a written scope note before their first session explaining precisely what we do and do not provide.
Confidentiality & Discretion
What participants share in workshops and sessions remains within the Trovelle team. We do not share personal information with third parties except where required by law. Our privacy practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy.
Facilitated, Not Directed
We ask questions and create space for conversation. We do not tell families what decisions to make, what to keep or pass on, or how to structure their affairs. Those choices belong entirely to the participants.
Professional Referral Network
When participants have needs that fall outside our scope — a notary, a solicitor, a financial planner — we maintain a referral list of qualified professionals in Bangkok and internationally. We do not charge for these referrals and do not receive fees from referrals.
Data Minimisation
We collect only the information needed to facilitate your session and follow up with you. Inventory documents we help create belong entirely to the participant and are not retained by Trovelle beyond the session unless explicitly agreed.
Ongoing Feedback Loop
Each session closes with a short reflection opportunity. We read every piece of feedback and use it to refine our workshops and guides. Participants are always welcome to reach out between sessions with questions or concerns.
ABOUT OUR WORK
Estate Organising Education in Bangkok's International Community
Families living in Thailand — whether long-term residents, expatriates, or those with mixed Thai and international backgrounds — often face a particular challenge when it comes to family papers and meaningful possessions. Cross-border circumstances add layers of complexity that can make even a simple conversation about "where things are" feel daunting to start.
Trovelle works specifically within that context. Our workshops provide a structured but relaxed environment where those conversations can begin. We do not assume what a family needs or what the right outcome looks like. Our role is to hold the space and offer the organising tools — the decisions and the direction come from the family themselves.
Bangkok's Phra Nakhon district, where our studio is based, has long been a meeting point for families with roots in many different countries. That diversity is something we value and design for. Our guides and prompts are developed with international families in mind, and our referral network extends beyond Thailand to professional bodies in several other jurisdictions.
Our approach draws on established principles in professional organising, narrative facilitation, and family communication research. We do not claim expertise in law, finance, or any regulated field. What we do offer is a steady, warm presence and a set of practical tools that many families tell us they wished they had found earlier.
